Governor Wes Moore announced appointments to Maryland’s newly formed Thoroughbred Racetrack Operating Authority on June 9, 2023. Nicole Earle joined the body as the board member representing the Pimlico Race Course community.
The appointment brought a Park Heights resident and experienced real estate and community-development leader into the state’s planning for the future of thoroughbred racing. The Authority was created to help Maryland evaluate a sustainable long-term path for its racing facilities and industry.
PlayMaryland reported the appointments on June 15, 2023. The Maryland State Archives later documented Earle among the Governor-appointed nonvoting members of the Authority.
